It's not vampirism, but goddamn, the show Hannibal is very, very good and Lecter might as well be Dracula for how downright evil, yet well cultured and intelligent he is.
Also everything he cooks looks utterly delicious. Even if some of the ingredients are a bit... unusual.
Go with true blood. Probably the only vampire show I've seen that isn't about a softy vampire falling in love with a human and wanting to change - yuck.
Try Supernatural
A lot of vampire stuff these days seems to have sappy teenage people doing sappy teenage stuff and having all these do I wanna choose him or that guy love stuff. If I was 13 or 14 I'd probably be into it but I'm not and I much prefer more mature things these days.
A good example I find is the way Jonathan Young played a vampire Nikola Tesla in Sanctuary. I found despite having moments where he was trying to woo the lead he played a very charming, intriguing and down right funny vampire.
So if you know of any movies or tv series that are similar or fit the category of mature then I'd much appreciate it.
