ranma is a classic, once you get used to the characters there are lots of laughs and different fighting styles and is available dubbed
steins:gate is a really interesting phycological/ scifi one, really i was so hooked
magi is ok -kind of based on the alladin story
beelzebub is a demonish story
Elemental Gelade is AWSOME!!! lots of fighting and a great cast of characters
Hajime no Ippo is similar to kenichi, weak boy becomes great boxer, very funny and inspiring
Ima, Soko ni Iru Boku is a surprisingly good series where a boy finds himself in a different world and he has to fight for his life, lots of guns.

Well, couple months back I watched a really good series called 'Ergo Proxy'. It only has one season because it was rather low profile but it's actually very well made and interesting, I'll leave a plot synopsis below.
The year is 7207 where the world has been ravaged by a cataclysm five thousand years ago, there exists a refuge on this ruined Earth -- a Domed City named "Romdeau," where humans and their android servants, the AutoReivs, live in a state of controlled peace. This construced paradise that houses its wealthy citizens and unfortunate immigrants is ruled by a mayor and his governing council. They demand that complete order and servitude is kept within Romdeau to keep chaos at its gates at bay. However, this utopian landscape is soon shattered by a series of horrifying murders. Re-L Mayer, a female inspector from the Citizen Information Bureau, along with her AutoReiv partner Iggy, are tasked to solve the murder cases. When Re-L and Iggy investigate the latest crime scene, Re-L is almost attacked by a mysterious creature, neither human nor AutoReiv, that is seemingly drawn to her. She begins to learn the truth about the mysterious creatures that are simply referred to as "Proxies" and what they truly are.

If you're into comedy i HIGHLY suggest Ghost Stories. The japenese version got Horrible ratings so when they recorded the english dub the actors wung the script and made it absulutly HILARIOUS! Its about a little retarded boy, a super religous girl, a jew boy, a bitchy girl and a stupid guy.they hunt down ghosts.. I know it sounds dumb but .. I would give it a try. I you go on youtube and type in " Ghpst stories funny clips" and then watch it ! Its really good. Thats a picture of Satski ( Slutski ) asking her little retarded brother for coffee....
Log Horizon (on-going):
This anime is kind of like SAO.People are stuck in a game,but unlike SAO,you dont die in real life in you die in the game.This anime has lesser action compared to SAO but definitely worth watching.
Gundam 00
This is the only Mecha based anime that I have seen and I can saw that I have enjoyed it thoroughly.
In the near future,with mechs and stuff,the world was devided into 3 kingdoms or whatever they call it.Then suddenly one day these random,really over powered mechs called gundams appear and start attacking military bases(4 gundams in total).They call themselves the Celestial Beings(gundam is the name of their mech).Their objective it to focus all the hate towards themselves via war and in the process unite the divided world.
Hajime no Ippo (on going)
This anime is about a 17(initially) year old student named Ippo who one day gets saved from some bullies by a boxer(who happened to be a pro).Amazed by the pro,he asks him to teach him boxing.The pro agrees on one condition.He had to catch 10 falling leaves of a without letting any of the ones he has cought fall down.He has a week to complete this task.At the end of the week,he was able to do it.But he had done it better that what the pro told him.The pro told him he could use both his hands,but Ippo caught 10 leaves with just his left hand!
Kuroko no Basuke (on going)
This anime is based on Basketball.I am not a basketball fan,but this anime is starting to change that.
There is this legendary Middle school basketball team,composed of 5 players,who have been rightfully given the title Generation of Miracles.But,there have been rumors of there being a 6th Phantom member of this team.Not many people know him.Why?Thats his skill.The team splits up and go to different High Schools.The 6th member's name was Kuroko.His ability is to make himself disappear in the court.He uses his silence and 'misdirection' to conceal his presence.Until he speaks to you,you wont he notice him right in front of your eyes.
Magi (on going)
This one is kinda hard to explain.The characters are based on lots of Arabian heroes(Alladin,Ali Baba,Sindad etc).Just watch this anime.Its straight up awesome!
Full Metal Alchemist/Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood
This is still one of the top 5 animes that I have seen.First of all,alchemy means converting an item to another item of equel mass.Example,converting rock to gold of equal mass.In this anime however,to use alchemy,you MUST draw some alchemy symbols in order to perform alchemy.The anime revolves around two brothers,Edward(elder) and Alphonse Elric who are nicknamed the Fullmetal Alchemists.The elder brother can use alchemy without the need of alchemy circle,which is VERY rare.
Their dad left them at a very young age,and were brought up by their mother,for a few more years that is.Their dad was also and alchemist and after he left,they read his book and learn alchemy from it.After a few years,their mom passed away.They then did what no man should ever do.Use alchemy to bring back the dead.Well,they failed.Elric ended up losing a hand and Alphonse lost his whole body.Elric managed to attach his brothers soul to an armor before it was too late.
FMA Brotherhood is the remake version(and a better version) of FMA with the same base storyline.I suggest you watch FMA before watching brotherhood.
Mirai Nikki (Future Diary)
Yukiteru "Yuki" Amano is a loner who spends most of his time writing a diary on his cell phone or talking with his imaginary friends Deus Ex Machina, the God of Time and Space; and Murmur, Deus' servant. One day, Deus gives Yuki a special diary, mentioning something about a game. Strangely, Yuki's new diary has entries in it spanning the next 90 days―entries about the future that come unnervingly true. Deus, the not-so-imaginary God of Time and Space, then forces Yuki to participate in a battle royale with eleven other people, each of whom also has a diary that can predict the future in some unique way. The rules of this "Diary Game" are simple: the contestants must try to find and kill all the other contestants before the world ends on Day 90, and only the last one standing can prevent the Apocalypse and become the new God of Time and Space.
These should be enough to keep you entertained for a while.
