But Mikkelson also does a very good job at playing Hannibal Lecter. He also plays him in a very different way. While in the films, Hopkins plays him in a way that makes you feel as if Hannibal is purposely trying to creep everyone out, Mikkelson plays him in a way that makes Hannibal seem as if he is trying his best to look completely natural and likeable. He hides the darkness inside him from everyone.
i love both portrayals of Lecter, but Hopkins will always be my favorite
Well Hopkins will always be the most memorable Hannibal Lecter, he was just brilliant. But I must say that Mads did a really good job in this new tv show. You can't really compare these two, they both have different portrayal of the character, both bring something special and unique and you can't say that one is better than the other, but then you can always have your opinion.

I watched a few episodes of Hannibal, but I believe that Hopkins did the best.

See I love Anthony Hopkins both as Hannibal and in other films and I feel I am being unfair seeing as I haven't seen the new series but If I did I jjust know Hopkins will still be the best
