Are pawn reality shows real or fake?

The shows are fake. Most people that go into a pawn shop do not outright sell their things, they pawn them, meaning they get money and the store keeps their item. They have a certain amount of time to pay back the money with interest and they get their item back. If they do not pay back the money then the store keeps the item and can resell it.

People really do go to pawn shops because they need fast money. Its people with desperate problems or drug problems. Also at a pawn shop you can "pawn" something instead of outright selling it. Thats like where you give them your item of value as collateral for a loan then you can get the item back if you pay the original amount back plus the interest. Thats for when people just need a temporary small loan.

What they are showing is real.

Rich people want NOTHING to do with eBay and craigslist.

They are faker than wwe

I watch these pawn shows on tv and im starting to wonder if there real. You have eBay and craigslist. Why would you go to a pawn shop and sell your item for pennies on the dollar vs just posting it on eBay and you get charged around 12-15% commission (with fees including )

example selling a historical book that's appraised for 1000.00 and they buy it from you for 400.00 . you can probably sell it for 800.00 on ebay and make around 700.00 profit.
