Modern Family blows. Sorry, I'm not trying to attack any fans out there personally, I just can't stand that show. To me, Big Bang Theory might just be the funniest show of all-time (not the best show, but the funniest). It's comedy is nearly unmatched by anything else. The acting is superb, the audience' laughter could be toned down a bit, it's a little annoying, but that's the only knock I have against the show.
The Emmy's are pointless. Awards like that don't mean sh*t. Emmy's, Grammy's, Tony's, Oscar's, all worthless. It's nice to win, but don't take it hard if you lost, because they're not an accurate scale to measure greatness.
I love both but probably big bang theory. Modern family is like watching some families doing regularish things. Big bang theory is something different from other comedies I've seen.
By far The Big Bang Theory and as for the second part of your answer judges have become more politically correct in the last decade, talent doesn't have much to do with it anymore. Modern Family is good, but not that good.

Modern Family is better. There's no laugh track and the writing is better, and so is the acting. Jim Parson is the only reason to watch TBBT though.

I love Big Bang theory I think Jim parsons is a genius. The cast is great and the writing is excellent. I like modern family it's an ok show but I don't think it's anywhere near as good as bbt and I truly don't get how they keep winning the best comedy Emmy. Which do you guys prefer and why do you think modern family keeps cleaning up at the Emmys?
