Everyone told me I had to watch Breaking Bad. So I started. And it wasn't very good. They kept assuring me it would get better in the next season. I really feel that it's season of a TV show that I'll never get back. That being said, some people must like it, it got huge reviews and won a lot of awards (though awards don't always mean that much)

breaking bad is the single best story I've ever consumed in any form-- film television music literature etc...
its not even worth telling you the plot of the story. If you don't know what it's about, it will be even better because you have no expectation of what the narrative will hold. Please, anyone else who answers this question, don't spoil a thing for our friend here. Let him enjoy Breaking Bad in all of its wonderous glory!
the whole series is five seasons. Come on... Is that such a committment? There are such garbage shows out there that people binge watch 8 or 9 or 10 seasons of. I beg of you, devote yourself to at least the first season of this show. And if you don't think the second season is worth watching, then don't keep watching...
But you will.
I'm finished season 3 and have season 4 to start watching and I love it. It's slow at first but gets so.much better. My brother in law insists seasons 4 and 5 are the best so I can't wait to see them. Great show, great writing and great cast.
It's about a high school chemistry teacher who's stuck in a rut and gets into the drug business. I can't say much more without spoiling it but I think you should watch it.
You should watch it. I didn't watch any of it when it was on the air, but a lot of my friends did and they said it was awesome... so I bought the first season and watched it. I became so interested in the storyline that I got the rest of the seasons and watched them all.
Best you watch it from beginning to end so you may see for yourself. If you get to see a few scene on youtube you will get the idea. Anymore I say about it may ruin it for you.
