The Bates Motel is a prequel to Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho it shows the relationship between Norman and Norma Bates why Norma is obsessed with protecting her son and why is Norman so disturb. The whole thing the tv show and movie that came in the 60s the characters Norma and Norman Bates are based on the infamous killer Ed Gein who had a obsessed relationship with his mother after her death he dug up bodies of women and even killed women to fashion sick materials and used some parts to make a body of his mother to act like she is still alive
It's amazing. It's on its second season now. It's about a boy and his mom moving to a new town to sart over after Normans dad died. (Norman is Norma's son). They soon find out that this town is different and that Norman is not normal. After watching the first episode you'd understand it better, then when you're at around the fifth episode you'll get addicted. So far there's only 12 episodes out, so you should really watch it.
