but the story plot is a little bland and the first part of the story is cliche and has been done countless times. But hey, what hollywood movie isnt cliche. Plan out the story a little more and create an arch. the four parts to create a story
1. who is he
2. what does he want
3. what is keeping him from getting it
4. how does he overcome it.
So if she enlists in the army to find the guy, what does she do. Does she pretend to be a guy to join the army (have it during ww2 where women couldnt join) Does she get arrested for lying on a enlistment form and then she has to break out of prison. A story where she joins the army and finds him isnt enough. What happens to prevent her from getting him.
Based on your plot, you have the first two points.
1. she is the main character, she is the one whose going through the life journey
2. she wants to find him
3. (what is preventing her)
examples: faking an enlistment form and goes to prison, pretends to be a guy and something happens that complicates this, does the girl who the soldier is suppose to marry by force have a role. does she report the soldier girl, does she find him herself. ect
4. (what does she do)
how does she overcome these obstacles. What is the arch

I kind of have a screen script in mind and I want it to be cartoon like, but telling it like a fantasy story with some true parts to it. And i hope to have it be called as the warrior princess. The whole story is a prince who is betrothed to be married and he doesen't want to be. He wants to actually fall in love with someone. Which he eventually does and he decides to one day go out in disguise and to work as a carpenter. And to hopefully find the girl that he wants to marry. He doesen't want to fall in love with a girl he doesen't barely know. Then, he meets this paesant girl who is a slave and does most of the work carrying buckets of water back and forth and they bump into each other one day fall in love then he is determined to marry her and tells the kingdom that he's found the girl of his dreams. Then he realizes that he's sent to war. Then his girl starts looking for him and then somebody tells her where he's at and then she must go find him because he's eventually walking into a trap. And then she's trained for war as a soldier. Then she finds him and with a little bit of controversy that happened their finally married. Isn't their any sort of true stories relating to that?
