What if you are the kidnapper wanting to know how to cover all avenues?
This doesn't sound good, find out when these girls went missing [what time of day] and ask the police questions because you're concerned
Always be aware of your surroundings, know where you are and who is around you, this includes cars driving by on the street [it takes a very short time for someone to disappear when they're nabbed off the street and forced into a car]
Don't be checking your smartphone or listening to music and not paying attention while you're walking kidnappers and rapists have been known to grab these earbuds and choke, strangle or ram their victim into a poll knocking them unconscious and then assaulting them or kidnapping them
You can carry a long stick, baseball bat or something else that can be used as a weapon, a small club works just as well, if you have a big dog take it with you
Keep your cell phone on you and tell your family where you're going before you leave
Have your parents drive you to your destination and then pick you up, don't walk home
Don't go anywhere by yourself, safety in numbers
Don't go anywhere that's not familiar and avoid going out at dusk or night especially if you do stay with a group in well-lit area
Don't talk to people online or give any personal information or agree to meet them in person
If you're home by yourself LOCK the door, even if it's the middle of the day
Don't tell where you're going or what you're doing, this is how these predators track people online who give too much information to their whereabouts
Get your neighborhood to set up a neighborhood watch and report any suspicious vehicles or persons in your area to the police
Keep your cell phone with you and learn to dial Emergency without looking, so you can do it in the dark or in your pocket.
If you are too scared to talk to the Emergency, just call and leave the line open. They will send police, medic, and firefighters, because for all they know you could be choking to death.
At home, keep the doors locked.
Out on the street, don't go alone. Same thing in school or other public places.
If somebody attacks you, fight back hard. With luck, they will then look for somebody else. But call the police anyway to report this.
Also on the street, and especially if you are alone, keep looking around you. Look to the sides and back to see if anybody is there or following you. You may not know if you save yourself this way. Once when I got off the bus to walk home, I wondered why it didn't drive away. Next day, the driver said she saw somebody following me and was waiting to make sure I got home safe. I didn't see anybody, but I kept looking around, so I guess the person couldn't get near me.
If somebody tries to force you into a car, scream, cross the street and run in the opposite direction. so the car would have to turn around to follow you. Run into a business or, in a residential area, run up to a house, bang on the door and, call out, "I'm home!"
Carry a basket ball with you.
Yes, don't believe anyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...
Ok, so two girls in my area went missing one girl was found like a day later in a different state she went missing because she met someone online and the other girl has been missing for almost two weeks. I am really scared because I don't want that happening to me and people (not FBI or police) think there is some sort of serial kidnapper on the loose and I am terrified. Could you give me tips on how to protect myself
