I'm near Mountain View and felt the shaking.
Fortunately, outside of the immediate area around the epicenter, there doesn't seem to have been any damage. Even Napa got off pretty lightly when you consider what similar quakes have done to other countries.
We are on its epicenter. It is one of the most horrendous quakes that we have every experienced. It was hard, cruel and ugly. In addition we were pitched into absolute darkness for more that 2 hrs. We know earthquakes and it felt like a 8.5 not a 6.l. Scary, scary, scary. The neighbors....All were very special and caring. Some in this fury broke out the champagne and orange juice. They had a ball.! Whoot!
Yes! I live in Santa Rosa, CA and I sure felt it! It felt big too beause my home was swaying, dishes rattling a couple paintings fell. Nothing major but pretty scary for a moment. Hope everyone is okay
You aren't going crazy. People are talking about it in different areas of the site.
I have a friend in Roseville who felt it. I am near San Francisco and did not feel anything. Perhaps because the bay separates me from Napa there was no earth movement here.
Yes! It was 3:21 on my clock, which is accurate. My dogs were VERY upset about it, and began to bark! We live in the East Bay ~ that was a STRONG one! Whew! Hope everyone is okay?
I felt it quite strongly here in Santa Rosa. It woke me up. It was a 6.0 magnitude quake, centered about 5 miles NW of American Canyon (in southern Napa county), and 6.7 miles down.
I live in E. SJ. I felt the quake too. More than 3.0
im in south san jose and it felt like a 4.0 to me.
I live in the Fruitridge and I-5 area of South Sac. Did anyone else feel a slight Earthquake approximately 3:22 AM? My house, bed, clothes and light fixtures where shaking and moving back and forth. I really hope I'm not going crazy.
