Since the Taliban originated in Afghanistan and the Mujaheddin also originated there, Osama bin Laden was involved with the Mujaheddin during the Soviet/Afghan War (Charlie Wilson's War). He founded Al Qaeda shortly after. It's possible the Taliban has links to Al Qaeda, just like every other Radical Islamic Fundamentalist group in that region. It's a "terrorist network", a dangerous global movement with cells worldwide...all Islamic Jihadists are interconnected, that's why. Scary stuff actually...O_O
