Only older people even know about Monty Python. I saw Monty Python and the Holy Grail when I was a teenager and thought it was hilarious. Saw it years later and wondered why.
Many do. I could never see what the fuss was about. OK, sometimes they were funny, but my Dad thinks they're geniuses, and I find that an idiotic statement. I liked Fawlty Towers much better because it was intelligent. MP relies too much on sophomoric absurdities.
Americans LOVED Monty Python... Heck; I watched it- for Years !! :)
I like some of it, like the movies, but some of the skits are kind of repetitive and don't connect very well. I prefer black comedy anyways so it might just be me.
Some still do. The DVDs keep selling.
I prefer Benny Hill myself.

Do Americans like Monty Phython? As a british person I dont find it funny, we have so much more better comedy than this. Family guy mention Monty p., here its old and outdated.
