This show is in flux. They DO have the talent to carry this show forward for a few more decades, if they used it. But maybe they do have a date they expect it to be finished by and are happy to let it peter out so they can replace it with something else cheaper format.
I hope they lose enough viewers and there is enough upset to get JFP fired. I hate this, isn't fair. The characters left are so boring and while I respect Victor he is in his seventies now irl. He can't continue being the center of the show forever. If he doesn't like it he should leave, let the other characters develop.
I think BM just got sick of it, MM I thought was more committed to his character, but I know that he's put up with a lot behind the scenes and maybe he'd finally just had enough, had a clash and was fired.
It's not being cancelled-
Billy Miller has been wanting to leave for years (actually JFP convinced him to stick around) and try new things, MM was fired (we don't know the reasons).
Just because two actors are gone doesn't mean the show is in danger of being canned, its' still the #1 daytime show on tv, and as long as its' bringing in that kind of ratings it's not going anywhere.
I never thought it would, but just like you said with all the good people leaving and possibly new ones taking their place - it's not going to be same are have the same feel. I vowed I would watch until the show went off the air, but I'm starting to think I want make it that long.
I never really liked this actor playing Adam anyway. But it will survive. With few exceptions(like Katherine, Victor, Nikki, Lauren and Paul) most of the actors on the show have been played by different actors over the years. Oops, Esther is also played by the same actress.
No. There was Y&R before Billy and Adam and there will be Y&R after them. Yes they are both really talented actors but the show must go on! I will miss both of them
I highly doubt it, since it is the #1 soap opera on tv. A couple of actors leaving the show won't cause it to be cancelled.
No they will stay on its been on too long now to shelve it. Im sure they will get new actors to play Adam and Billy.

Not in the near future. It is a popular soap. But Days of our Lives is more popular..
With the recent exits of Michael Muhney & Billy Miller I can't see Y&R surviving without them I see people tuning out because all of their favorite charachters are gone even if they attempt to replace them It wouldn't be the same without two of their big stars.
Y&R will continue to go on .... with who knows who else will leave on their own, or get fired, JFP will still bring on her favorites.
