Do you think it is weird in Eastenders?

Very strange. Amy was missing for months then turned up at the wedding.

Never see Tommy either, when Kat and Alfie ran the bar, never said who was looking after him.

They seem to forget we know they have kids.

I think whoever is in charge of deciding storylines in there must have this pregnancy fetish. He (it can't surely be a woman) wants to see every female character on the soap pregnant. Notice how nobody ever uses contraception. Or any kind of protection, really, there must be an epidemic of STDs on the square by now. I think it's some sort of pro-life message there, after all pro-lifers only care about the "babies" while their in the womb, after they're born they can get lost for all they care.

But maybe it is just a case of very lazy script writing. They just simply don't have ideas, so they have every woman get knocked up. And then they just ignore the children, because, well, what else to do with them? Children are boring at best.

Yes!!! Its weird, the producers need to hire fans of the show to work for them, then the soaps would be realistic and there wouldn't be children being left alone all the time, and families like biancca from eastenders living in a small house with 9 people, biancca has her own room, so does Carol, and david, so that house can't have more than 3 beds, and theres a bathroom aswell. And theres the children (5 of them) who probably share 2 bedrooms between them!!! Its like narnia in there!

That's a point! Where was the obnoxious Faye all over the Christmas when Owen and droopy drawers Anna were in the Rovers. Who was looking after Arthur and his ugly pouting sister during the Woolpacks party. Along with Charity leaving her brat Noah and her daughter leaving her two as well alone, it looks like Social Services should be called in!

All the soaps do it. In last nights corrie Leanne her mum n husband Nick were in the bistro boys father Peter was gettin busy wit babysitter Tina n grandmother Deirdre n auntie Tracy were in the pub so where was son Simon?

Its been happenin for years n if you watch closely you can see when they film scenes on different days as suddenly somebodys hair will have grown n then in the next shot go back short again.

Good point. I'd never thought of it that way. I guess the producers don't focus on the children, or go into great detail, as they are rarely part of the main stories. But yeah, I guess it is strange.

Good point. I also have a question of my own,If they have enough money to buy beer everyday, then why don't buy a washing machine with that money instead of spending it in a pub everyday?

Yes,i quite agree,in coronation street once dev children's were missing for months, and simon, and tracy's daughter are always disapearing!

Do you think it is weird that in Eastenders the children are just left alone? I mean that is the only other explanation because any time any of the parents are on screen there are no children. I've just seen Phil, Ronnie and Roxie in the Vic but where is Roxie's kid Amy? And what happened to Lola's kid as well, because she seems to be in the vic as well.

Does no one find this strange? Me and my mum have been wondering for ages
