He committed an act of terror but I would not consider him a terrorist more a loner who appears to have gone off the deep end over the past few months. Perhaps he had a mental breakdown & was able to not show to people. Still makes him guilty as sin and he deserves to suffer & die for his crazed violent acts.
By the definition of terrorist, it all comes down to his motives. We don't know his motives, so we can't call him a terrorist. Based on his behavior so far, it would seem his motives are his own, not part of some larger group, or for the sake of political change, etc.
So long as you distinguish between *domestic* terrorism and international terrorism, I'll agree with you.
He is home grown and clearly insane - although the courts may not come to that conclusion.
People who engage in suicide bombings in the Middle East are clearly insane also, as is anyone who flies an airliner into an office building. To sacrifice your life on the understanding that, as a martyr for your religious convictions, you'll be richly rewarded in paradise, is to identify yourself as crazier than a loon.
We do not have immortal souls. None of us. There is no heaven awaiting us after our deaths. None at all. Not a Muslim heaven. Not a Christian heaven. There is just...nothingness.
Bat sh!t crazy mother f#ckr who belongs in a mental Ward? Yes. Terrorist? No.
