Very much so!! Enterprise in particular has aligned it much closer to the present day as well, as it was the latest made, and it shows the earliest events in the time line of the shows, therefore having a better chance to relate the show to modern day standards, expectations, and philosophies.

I have tried to watch the original in re-runs from time to time, but I'm just not really a sci-fi fan, at all. Space stuff of all types bores me.

The original series is a good show.

I think Star Trek is good show.. I have all the eps.. I do think however there are too many episodes where Captain Kirk has a double, or the crew has twins.. thy kind of overdid that storyline, but as a whole, its clever, and very original for its time ( some things may seem dated now compared to newer sci-fi) but still good

almost every episode is 40 minutes showing people do talking inside a spaceship
