This unfortunate trend of today's zombies is especially stupid: merely getting in a car and driving off would make quick work of their mean plans. After all, they are handicapped by rotting appendages.
Based on everything we know about physics, chemistry and biology, zombies as depicted in movies, are simply not possible.
Think of it this way, if a zombie is a reanimated corpse, that means the person has to die first. The first things to start to break down upon death are the brain and nerve tissue. So even if something were to try to "restart" the brain, chances are, the rest of the nervous system would have broken down to the point where the brain wouldn't be able to tell the body to move anymore, let alone walk around looking for a living person to chew on.
When you looked out your window for life, I imagine you were looking for real people and life as a whole, like creeks, flowers, birds, etc... Will Zombies exist one day? Yes, in your imagination.
One day ? Look at any obama follower... they seem to have all the same characteristics of zombies.
Dirty, not too smart, follows other zombies without question & tries to eliminate anyone different from them.
In the sense of some sort of virus that alters the mind, and makes someone became extremely violent-- that is very possible. That theory is usually thought to be caused by rabies.
In the sense of someone who is deceased, to be re-animated and controlled, that is very unlikely.
They may already, although not in the form shown in horror movies. Some parasites are suspected of changing personality. Toxoplasmosis, for example.

My brother is terrified of zombies.
They don't and will never exist.
It's simply not possible :)
Zombies can't happen. And even if it could, it would happen because of something like in Last Of Us, which won't happen.
When I was a kid, I would wake up and look out the window immediately for a sign of life.
Sometimes now I still get scared but I also think the thought is ridiculous.
