It all comes down to personal preference. Some believe that Smith is just as good if not better than Tennant was. Personally I can't choose between the two. Tennant has the charm, humour and good looks while Smith has that quirky look that is endearing and his sense of humour is unique. Kinda like a little brother or something. Smith has shown how good an actor he is as the Doctor.

As for Capaldi I don't think he will swear. After all Doctor Who is aimed at kids and while going by the reports that Capaldi will be playing a darker Doctor I sincerely doubt that it would lead to constant crass language. The show has to keep to a PG rating or equivalent.

I thought David Tenant was great as the tenth doctor but many people think that Matt Smith is a better doctor and I have only watched a few episodes with him to but he seems like a good doctor. Also as far as I know the tenth doctor does not swear.

I can't say because I've only watched a few Matt episodes and really couldn't get into him because I loved and missed Ten so much. I'll watch Eleven eventually, but in my opinion David captured the character so well. Not sure if he swears, those texts you've seen could be fandom AU/parody edits.

Matt Smith is kind of an odd Doctor. In my opinion he is less fun than Daved. To my knowledge he never swears, it's just not in his character.

Images you have seen of Peter Capaldi as the Doctor with swearwords attached are just joking on Capaldi's character in the adult political comedy show 'The Thick of It', where his character cursed colourfully in every episode. 'Doctor Who' is a CHILDREN's show. There will be no cursing.

I started watching the Doctor Who series months back (All of it, not just modern series) and I am now at David as the tenth doctor and I believe he is the best so far and just love his personality, I'm wondering do the doctors get better? Is Matt better? And lastly does the new doctor swear? I've seen pictures of him and it shows curse words in the text....
