I grew up watching repeats of the classic series of Doctor Who and now I love watching the reboot. Of course opinion will be divided as with any successful enterprise and Doctor Who won't appeal to everybody or even perhaps the majority of people. Personally I can't stand shows like Glee or The X Factor but lots of people like them. I love Doctor Who because it's quirky, inventive, exciting, character driven and imaginative. The character of the Doctor is great because he can be reinvented so many times yet still remain the essence of the show which is part of what makes it so interesting but in the end it's down to personal opinions.
However, having attended the 50th anniversary convention in London, I completely agree with you that Doctor Who fans can be really irritating and at times quite authoritarian and self righteous about the show which can be very annoying and I'm sure if I wasn't already a fan, that would probably make me think twice about whether or not to bother with it.
Depends upon which Dr. you're watching. The "Fourth Doctor" series was really good.
Me!!! Tom Baker was good, but after that I lost complete interest in the show.
For a guy that is so famous nobody seems to know who he is. Whenever I ask fans about who that doctor is they say Dr. Who?
It's a really stupid show.
Me. Its so boring.
its not necessarily the show itself its the fanbase that insist its the best thing ever ive seen a few episodes and it seems like just an average si-fi show i mean the acting is decent but not great the special effects arent that great either and the story just seems random and confusing it just doesn't live up to its name can someone tell me why they think its so great
