It was the partnership of littlefinger, olenna tyrell and sir dontos. Littlefinger paid dontos to give sansa the necklace which has poison in its jewels and olenna had the jewel while fixing the hair. Tyrion didn't know anything neither sansa. But their is a theory that tywin also knew about it but we don't know yet if he did.

i hate that as hell

To my understanding is that the showmis following the books but to what extent - for example is the death of King Joffrey.

Which I might say he doesnt even suppose to be king to begin with. He is the bastard son of Cersei and Jaime which is gross too even think about. He only inherit the name Baratheon through marriage and from my understanding - bastards arent allowed to hold a throne.

Which leads me to my question - who killed Jofrey? According to the books its wasnt Tyrion. Many have come to believe it was one of three people: Joffrey new wife Margret, the so called Queen of Thrones or Cersei Lannister.

My bet is the queen of thrones - any thoughts?

This spawns another question - the book shows evidence that when the Queen of Thrones ( enjoy calling her that cuz it sounds badass ) went to fix Sansa's hair at the feast she accidently dropped it into the goblet which was the goblet Tyrion gave Joffrey which assumes the hairpin was laced with poison. But the show did not present that - so do you think it was the goblet that was presented to the king prior to the wedding that was laced with poison?

My thoughts are leaning to the Tyrells behind the murder because they didnt seem too surprised when Sansa told them that Joffrey was a monster.
