The trouble with the lefties is that they fail to take into account human nature.
If you are better off on benefits, get a free house, free food for your family, free health care, free education for your children and all you have to do is stay at home, watch daytime TV and play on your Playstation then why bother trying to earn enough to pay to support yourself?
There are many who are "poor" who have chosen to be "poor", not try & have chosen live off the state - sometimes several generations of the same family. They have the latest 3D TV, laptop, mobile phone etc. I have little sympathy for that type of poor.

As soon as you say "you can no longer buy a holiday of retirement property in Spain" or as soon as they lose their jobs they change their tune.
Many people aspire to be very rich therefore try to take their policies on board, whereas many others are swayed by The Sun and The Mail, which are very right wing.
Then how come so many of the very very rich are left wingers?
I am a retired steelworker on a pensioner,and while been comfortable I am not rich,yet I support common sense politics. Money has nothing to do with it.
