I obviously dont understand your culture or why a man would want to follow another man in the western meaning.and I dont know your laws and what they allow and what they dont.
In the UK one would go to the police without a thought. You dont give your age? Are you young enough for your parents to be involved.
I would both tell the police and your parents,I dare say you probably already have?
I think you should definitely tell your parents and they will probably tell the police which is also what i think you should do! If this guy was doing this to you ( a man) he might be an even bigger danger to woman!
you need to wake your parents and tell them, they will phone the police, they will take a statement ask you what he looked like, they will ask you if you could recognise him again, they may look into street CCTV, and he will be prosecuted for having you pinned with something against your neck...
If this really occurred, you'd have contacted the police.

I was walking at 2 am headed home then I noticed this guy was following me then he asked me what time it is so I just reply. I keep walking and he is walking in the same direction as me then he stops me and puts his hand on my shoulder and asks for money then I tell him I don't have any then he asks for my phone to send a message so I tell him no I can't.
He keeps following me and around the corner of my house he grabs me and puts a sharp object to my neck and tells me to hand him everything I have so I knew it wasn't a knife but just a small key so I grabbed his arm and told him to stop it.
He then tells me to not be afraid of people then still follows me, I reach the building where I live then I stop to look at something while he continues walking down the street and that's when I went inside.
What should I do? Tell my parents? Call the cops?
This has never happened to me before.
PS: I'm a guy and I live in Egypt.
