I have questions about Game of Thrones season 2?

Posted at: 2015-04-20
1. No, Sansa originally is infatuated with Joffrey when they're first engaged because he's a beautiful prince and she's shallow like that. But she sours on him after he gets her wolf killed and eventually grows to see how cruel he is. She hates him after he kills her father. But she has to pretend in order to stay safe.

2. He is arranging an alliance between the Lannisters and the Martells who ruled Dorne. By sending Myrcella to ward with them he buys their loyalty.

3. No, he has not betrayed the Watch. Quorin Halfhand orders him to pretend to betray the Watch in order to infiltrate the Wildlings and find out what they are up to.

1. Sansa did love him at the start, the first love syndrome hit her... but as she gets to know Joffrey, especially after all the things he did, it is now hate and fear, no love at all.

2. Tyrion really cares for Myrcella, and he had doubts whether the city could be saved. So he arranged for her survival just in case the city fell. I think it is also to try and make alliance with Dorne(?) as they are powerful, and have slightly bad history. I dont think he married her off, I was under impression it was just for safety, but I may be wrong.

3. Yep, as of end of season 2, he is still loyal to the Nights Watch

1. I believe Sansa was in love with the IDEA of Joffrey. She was so in love with this idea of being this princess, almost naive to everything and with her fairytale ideas on what her life would be like. When he showed his true colors she saw a much darker reality and that life isn't a fairytale. When she claims to be loyal to him she says it with no enthusiasm because her words are empty. She has no choice, shes almost a puppet, and cant speak her own mind because of the repercussions. She is petrified of what will happen to her and no longer has the protection from her father or mother.

2. Telling all 3 of them different things was a ploy to see who was informing to Cercie. It just happened that the person who informed on him (Pycelle) was the one who he told the actual plan to. Pycelle was given the real plan because his help was actually needed to carry it out (sending the letter via raven).

If no one had told, he would have gone ahead with Dorne, and if someone other than Pycelle had told, I guess he might have told Cercie the truth, and then tried to play it off like Varys or Littlefinger (whichever went to Cersie) was a liar and shouldn't be trusted. As to why he went through with it, that was because it was a good plan, and a necessary one. Cersie had to find out at some point anyway, sooner rather than later makes no real difference to Tyrion, and he now knows who is reporting to Cersie.

3. He was always, always loyal to the nights watch. I put that down to his devote loyalty and love to his father, Ned. Ned was the one who wanted him to join the nights watch and so he did valiantly. He was eager to survive if he could and also something about that Ygritte allured Jon, and he broke his vow to be with her. However he was still in his heart loyal to the nights watch, he just went along with being a wildling to survive and also enjoy Ygritte.

She did love him, but not after he murdered her father and all the sh!t he has done to her. She is afraid of him and she has deep hatred for him.

Tyrion gave her away because he wanted to secure an alliance with another house so they wouldn't have gone to war with the Lannisters.

And Jon Snow isn't a traitor, he's gaining their trust and attempting to learn as much about them as he can.

All I'll say is that Season 3 kicks a$$ and did you not have any questions about Daenarys, she's my favorite female character on the show.

just watch the show!!! if I answer your questions I will ruin everything!! trust me season 3 is just....shocking. shocking is a huge understatement. ALSO BE WARNED people might spoil season 3 for you on here to be careful of spoilers

************THIS QUESTION MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS ABOUT GAME OF THRONES. IT CONTAINS CONTENT UP THROUGH THE END OF SEASON TWO.*****************

I just finished season two and now I am left with a few questions.

1. Sansa Stark. Does she really love Joffrey? The entire season she claimed to be loyal to her beloved, but she was never enthusiastic when saying it. Did she fear him, or does she truly have a love that won't go away?

2. Tyrion giving Myrcella away. In the middle of the season, Tyrion gave Myrcella away in marriage. Why is this? Is he just trying to anger his sister, or is their something more to this? I understand that he told three different people three different things he was going to do with her. But once he found out, couldn't he just have said, "Oh, it was only a test." Why did he proceed to give her away in marriage?

3. Jon Snow. He didn't actually betray the Night's Watch did he? All that fighting was just to get the trust of the wildlings right? Or did he really change sides?

If anything becomes more clear in season three, please do not spoil it for me. Otherwise, please help me understand this.
