yes. ive watched a few minutes from a couple of different episodes and anyone with half a brain can tell how scripted it is. pretty much all reality shows are scripted/staged though. they are not gonna sit around with the crew filming all day waiting for something exciting to happen. time is money for producers, so its best to make a fake story, film for a few hours, then be done
So what if it is scripted? It is a funny show and there is no violence or swearing. A good clean show to watch and get some laughs, even your kids can watch it and that says a lot compared to other scripted shows on these days.
You can't let your kid's watch this is you don't want them to have homophobia reinforced. And yes, its very fake from a well educated and well off family. No one would watch a show about a marginally afluent family like they would a whole bunch of bible bashing and course rednecks.
I think all reality shows are scripted. To a certain degree anyway.
