James Scott finished filming his final scenes on May 2, 2014 bringing an end to his 8-year stint on "Days of Our Lives." However, he is not the only actor leaving the show. On the mantle at the DiMera Mansion there is an urn, which is a container for holding the remains of a cremated body, next to a photo of EJ.
This urn and photo was not on the DiMera mantle during recent week’s episodes of Days of Our Lives, and has caused a lot of controversy online.

Yes the actor who played EJ has left the show. As we all know with Days no one stays dead so he may have faked his death in order to get his father to forgive and forget or to protect his family. Only time will tell if EJ stays dead.
I must say I was surprised when he died! After Grandma Horton dying by choking on a donut & not being dead anything is possible. Just hire a new writer & there you go!
Yes he is. He got killed today. One of his thugs killed him. Clyde and the black thug covered up their tracks, stole his wallet and wedding ring. It was sad. Now Stefano knows as well and he is crying. II left with Sami with him in the morgue.
