I think, but bearing in mind anything could happen with Eastenders, Nick Cotton is gone.

It seems that he might be alive, in next week's TV guide it says when Dot wants to see him in the coffin Charlie is really reluctant to let her - him and Nick are in on it together
I don't think he is dead, that's why the don't want Dot to see the body. I reckon he is hiding from someone.
if nicks dead, how come his daughter, is not there, and if that is nicks son, why has he never been mentioned before now, got to be in his late thirties.

His funeral is coming up next week, but that could just be a part of an evil storyline. I hope he isn't dead, he was a good character and I think he deserves an on-screen death
