I am against it. GOvernment regulation of the internet can't be a good thing. Of course there is the handy Anonymous. I am sure they would do something if the regulation got too severe.
It still has to go through the senate, but last time I checked internet freedom isn't popular among republicans or democrats. Especially if there are lots of lobbyists motivating politicians.
I worry it will pass. I can only hope for the best. You could also sign an online petition against CISPA.
apparently cispa is the nice politicians way of dealing with those naughty hackers. In reality when you actually look at all those words hidden amongst the boring bits its just another invasion of privacy, of monitoring internet usage and access storing all kinds of personal data about each user and the user themselves has no idea what the information is or and here's the kicker is not allowed to see the data held on them.
President O should veto this, but they've brought this bill right before the senate days after Boston, hmm with senators evoking said Boston and approving the bill to combat terrorism when in fact its got nothing to do with the t word.
Obama has promised to veto it. If he does it will be the first time he has done anything I agree with.
I'm concerned because he hasn't done very good living up to his promises.

Obama has said he will veto it, and it may lose in the Senate anyway. Personally I have plans with a couple friends to repeatedly exchange provocative emails about how many AK-47s for a kilo of cocaine and similar nonsense. Tie up the SOBs in a web of nonsense
this u.s internet bill - cispa, im very worried about ? apparently the republicans already okayed the law, it just has to go to the house of senate to go to the president to sign.
if it becomes law anyone who knows about cispa knows it will have catastrophic consequences for our internet freedoms, the internet will turn into a censored- restricted government regulated version.
i feel powerless and helpless as an ordinary person who loves the internet ? i worry about this law passing as a uk citizen even.
does anyone have any thoughts on it ? or fear it will pass ?
