No, it's not scary but it is pretty violent in places, even if most of the violence is implied.
It's definitely not a happy show, either. Lots of angst, and drama, and people trying to deal with an overwhelming disaster.
no it's mostly based on bored on a ship ( in space) mostly dealing with human drama along the way
most of the cylons look human and feel human so no not scary
