Is game of thrones hard to understand?

I wouldn't say hard to understand...but hard to follow? Yes. I am a huge fan. I started with the first season. I took at least 3-4 episodes to really get into it. At the end of the season I was P/I/S/S/E/D but hooked. So I checked out the books, read through them crazy fast and then watch season 2. Now I am a die hard fan...

I think what makes it so hard to follow is the fact that there are so many characters and story lines. I know at first some of these story lines may drag more than others but I promise you this:

You stick with it...you will NOT be disappointed. You may want to kill the author/creators at certain points, but it's definitely a good watch and even better read.

But yes, don't be surprised if it takes another episode (or 2 or 3 lol) to really get into it but you will be hooked if you stick with it til the end of the season.

I have seen the first two seasons of this and have read all of the books up to date. I'm not going to bother anymore, While the first three books had something going on in them, the following ones seem to be just padding so as to spin out the TV series into yet another season.

What you have got is a three sided fight for the throne with a few different families struggling for power, plus a threat from the north. Many of the characters are of little importance, they are just there to teach the main ones something or to take them somewhere.

One of my friends paid me a visit this morning and while we were watching a movie on TV, he said something about a website that can apparently give users access to the best movies and TV shows of all time, for a small fee. I clearly remember that he said that I could check out the website at http://uwatchfreemovies.com . Maybe you should do that as well and see if you will find what you seek.

It takes a lot of time and effort in order to understand everything. You have to pay attention to the long dialog. I'm watching it for a 3rd time and I still don't understand everything completely. Reading the books would probably help a lot.

I feel it's a little overwhelming at first, because of so many different characters and kingdoms. I think if you watch it and pay attention, you eventually will start to understand it more.

I've watched the first two episodes and I kind of understand it but not completely. There are a lot of characters with weird names and a lot of kingdoms with different weird surnames. I am really enjoying the programme but I was just wondering if you have to be pretty smart to understand it? And will I understand it more when I've watched more episodes or should I understand it by now? Will I learn all of the kingdom/character etc names eventually? I'm just worried that I'm too dumb for the tv show. If I should understand it by now please can you explain it to me so that I do? Thank you.
