I don't follow the series but i watch it sometimes on TV... I think Phil Dunphy is very funny but that's about it. Some other characters are entertaining however. But in the gist of it, it's not a show I would follow... only a show I would watch if I had nothing else to do and it happened to be on TV.
Usually the pilots aren't as good as the rest of the show. This is because they're just setting the stage and introducing the characters. (The neighbors is a great example of this. The pilot was without a doubt the worst episode I've ever seen. It made bad comedies look great. A month or two later I happened to see another episode, and I was amazed at how good it was. It wasn't not the best show, but it wasn't the worst either.)
Anyway, in my opinion Modern Family is the best comedy on TV right now. What I love is the fact it has had very few changes, but keeps getting better. The character's personalities have remained unchanged since the pilot unlike some shows (Big Bang), and the new characters, a baby and nanny, weren't added til season 5.
Unfortunately there are some people protesting the show because of the gay couple. I wish those people would do something more productive.
I think it's pretty funny.
I think it's the 2nd best Comedy on TV right now.
i would maybe watch a few more episodes and see if you like it and if your still not interested then you can stop. But that's up to you.
yes it does get better i seen up 2 season 4
i downloaded and watched the very first episode and i have no interest to continue to the next episode , its pretty boring but does it get better ?
