Is terrorism effective or is it not?

Terrorism is only effective on people that have limited access to competent reporting after an event

The very actions of terrorists maligned it's own message. People who commit such heinous acts are immediately show to be without moral standards, so any. "Message" they present must automatically be discounted as unreliable. Anyone who would intentionally harm and kill innocent women and children can not be expected to know the difference between truth and lies.

The brutality exhibited by these so called martyrs to a cause immediately discredits their message. Who could possibly equate the bombing of a church or school with a military objective

In the U.S.A. we have adopted and maintained a policy of not bartering with terrorist demands. This is not necessarily a government stance, it is a general feeling of disgust for any ideal supported by brutality. I can guarantee that no one I associate with or respect would do anything that even hinted of backing down from these cowardly scum

Terrorism is only effective in the short run.

After that, the people get angry and start fighting back. At which point, further terrorist attacks aren't effective at all. They just make people angrier, and hungrier for the terrorists' heads on pikes.

Are people,and Governments concerned / worried ?

Then yes,terrorism IS effective.

It must be or they wouldn't use it. A method

to cow the people.
