Not for the winners.
Of course it is - when only 50% of the take goes in prize money then you're much more likely to lose than win in the long term.
It's still better than the "health lottery" which is a scam by pornographer, Richard Desmond - this puts a smaller percentage into prizes, a smaller percentage into good causes and has much higher 'hidden costs'.
Considering people/families will 'waste' £'s+ when out and about/shopping etc every single day - the basic cost of 1 £ (Wed/Saturdays) giving even only a billion to one chance of winning - is a 'chance' worth taking....when people win - they only win on one line no matter how many lines they pay for - so a £ on Wed/Saturday puts people in with that chance - 'you have to be in it' to 'win it'....as they say.
With the utter waste people spend there money on - the Lotto is worth the 'basic' investment.
It can hardly be called gambling at this very low entry level (£1-2).
The Lotto is the 'only chance' we the 'paupers' of this world have of turning our bad luck fortunes around....no matter the very slim chance of that actually happening - we all dreaming the dream.!!
I THINK gREEN MARXISM is good use of money no waste there.running for election as green marxist as much chance as winning the national lottery due to right wing think tanks. but spending on proponent of worker owned factories and electric power is good way to spend money. also paying the dental bills of each other and sharingin the cost of hospital bills .or reserach money into cellular regenaeration
It is for those of us who have done it for decades and won little more than a few £10's,but then maybe next week my numbers would come out, I could be a multi millionaire, then I would be saying it's worth every penny I've ever wasted on it.
It is unless you get the big one or runner up. Try thunderball, ive found the odds lot better and get several wins
It's a tax on the stupid.
It's a question for everyone and everyone can have their thoughts. So do you think its good or is it just trying to take your money?
