The show is much better to watch in a marathon so you can really pay attention to it. Also watch it with this in mind. During it's 6 year run, the show was faced with a few challenges. They had to get rid of some characters due to actors either leaving or being fired, and an 8 month Writers strike in the 2007-2008 season so many shows had a shortened season and some plots were abandoned. Just know that everything that happens on and off the Island does actually happened, no matter how unbelievable it looks or sounds. Also They are not all dead. Everyone survived the plane crash. Various characters die throughout the series but, not in the crash. Also don't listen to people about the show. You have to really watch and pay attention for your yourself. Enjoy the show. You won't be disappointed.
Yes, to save you some time, at the end of the 100+ episode run, a large monkey/panda hybrid creature swoops in from the sky and eats everyone, except for John Locke, who single handedly spears the beast with a flick of his hair.
