Heck yes. Most people think 'walkers' won't ever exist. Viruses mutate all the time and whatever could cause an outbreak like on The Walking Dead. Theoretically, a future where TWD could happen who knows.
Zombie lore has been around for decades. Look at the prosthetics done on the zombies; what happens to a body after it decays and as it does over time. What would people do in a post apocalyptic situation? Every person handles stress, danger, and situations differently.
If you decide to watch any episodes, start from the beginning. One episode doesn't define the show, nor does one season.
I have seen every episode. I own every season, minus the current one of course. I have met Addy Miller (Summer, the first zombie in the series), Sophie, and Daryl. I even have signed autographs from them. I have been into zombie films for over 20 years when they were black-and-white.
Like any show, give it a shot.

The comic strip is, the game is, but the TV show is terrible. Its basically a soap opera with a zombie or two thrown in here and there. There is only one interesting character and the season finales are always silly or anti climatic. I'm surprised its had so much success!
It has its weak points, but it's good.
The people most disappointed with it are the ones who read the graphic novels, because they had different expectations about how the show should be. Regardless, it is a good show that will pull you in.
Probably one of the best shows i've ever watched and i don't like zombies. Its not for no reason it is "The King of Cable"!

sWEET JESUS ALMIGHTY YES. I thought it was stupid but then I watched it on Netflix and now I'm hooked. It's cool if you like action and gory stuff, which personally I love. I soooooo recommend this show, you will not regret it.
