I recently read the in depth full story as to the actual horrific murder and I must say it made stomach churning reading (the media omitted the full gorey details), and now I know why.
Social Workers? Plac-card wearing buffoons with the only 'education' being a few books, a few visits to the (at times falsely accused) poor families with children suffering an attack of head lice then off they go down that doubious road called...WRITE A REPORT. There is not ample space on here for my views re Social 'Workers' (Baby P) being a book of major errors alone. For those accross the pond, the Baby P case caused uproar in the UK and I daresay in other countries.
Two bored evil little b*****ds took Jamie (RIP) and what occured was horrific. The Courts could only do so much as to the correct sentence imposed due to the ages of both. Social Workers got involved and the comic books, sweets, play stations and overall pussy footing installed. Poor babies...came from troubled homes hence the horrific un-called for attack on an innocent child. Lest I forget the HOLIDAY'S and OUTINGS paid for by Mr and Mrs tax payer.
Perhaps what I'm about to type next will be deleted - BOTH SHOULD HAVE SWUNG.
There is a book called CHILDREN WHO KILL, by PATRICK WILSON. "Murder is always abhorrent but especially so whenever a child is involved, either as a victim, or - more unnerving perhaps - as aggressor".
My Dear, I do not know you but stick to your opinion for the children in today's society [are] EVIL and despite the excuses of poverty, drink, drugs etc (excuses endless) there are 'children' out there who would not for one moment hesitate in the partaking of mugging/stabbing be it to impress friends or initiated n2 gangs - they have killed and will continue to do so just for 'The Hell of It'.
Social Workers nowaday's have to pair up, carry alarms and mobile (cell phones) at the ready with an installed alarm device for fear of attack (not the parents in all cases), but the 'children'. In some cases they (SW.s) have to seek out psychologist's but, often than not compensation sought for injuries sustained due to attacks by children. Once again [rewarding] with sweets, days at the seaside along with "poor little ones, it's the parents fault"!! Same 'little ones' who would stab their parents in order to aquire money to fund drug habits - ages ranging from 6yrs onwards.
Children can murder, will murder, have murdered and will continue to do so - read the Newspapers tomorrow or, look back as recent as 3 weeks ago when a 15yr old killed his parents merely for the insurance.
Social Workers do not have the knowledge required to 'spot'' the tell tale signs given out by the 'innocent' little ones investigated: the puppy dog eyes, the sucking of thumbs - all a ploy and in most cases the Social Workers 'taken in' by same actions. Tick the boxes and submit documents. That is not earning a wage, that is a rushed task with a rubber stamped ending. And, when yet another child murdered (sexually abused ) by another 'child' we have outcries of WHAT WENT WRONG?
We have lost our children to a society which is out of control and can never be corrected by plac-card wearing biggots who have [not] read the small print.
I'm a mother and grandmother and I remember this case .I was both horrified and saddened to read about what happened to James Bulger..I couldn't even begin to understand why the two boys would do something like that . I know we don't want to imagine that a child is capable of such violence.It is far easier to blame the actions of a child on bad parenting than a child being "evil' No parent teaches their child to torture animals,set fires or hurt people.The two boys involved in James Bulger's torture and death did not seem like a spontaneous act but something they had put some thought into it.I don't know for a fact, nor do I remember,if they were bullies at school or if they were problem kids.This seemed like a pretty extreme incident if this were their first deviant act.Perhaps there were other situations but they were never caught. As a society we want to see our children as innocent and pure .It is difficult to imagine a child who could commit such unspeakable acts.Both you and your sister are entitled to your opinion.My thoughts still go back to the parents of James who must have had an unimaginable burden placed on them trying to make sense out of something that makes no sense at all.In this situation there is no right or wrong answer just a loss that should never have happened.
Regardless of what "should" happen t them, they have paid their debt to society asdetermined by a Court. A guy who hangs himself does so byhis own hand, There is no point blaming others for suicide. But perhaps that just underlies why it is necessary to give these guys new identities. No matter what these two do, there will be people who will want to harm them. People who think they are above the law. Chill out, peace man.
Your correct. Your sister is a social worker and many of them have a very liberal view of criminals. I know exactly what you mean, because I have a friend who is a social worker, and in their lesson plan in college , it is very in favor of making up every excuse for the criminal , especially if they are children. There are people who can NEVER change. I personally believe they should have gotten life in prison. What they did to little James, was more than a murder, they literally destroyed his body. The act upon him , was so horrendous, I think they should have been in prison for life.
They are animals who should be put to death.
My sister and me just basically had a discussion that turned into an argument where she disagreed with my opinion on the Bulger case. She works in social work and thinks because of this she knows much more than anyone on the subject. She said that the the two kids who torchered and murdered James Bulger were abused as kids and failed by the system, therefore what they did was a result in a bad upbringing. I agree that people can be affected by their upbringing to a certain extent,but I believe that torturing and brutally murdering a child at 11 years old is something you do only because your brain was not right when you were born. My other point being that if you are born with Down syndrome no great parenting is going to alter your brain. We are all born a certain way. Serial killers do not become serial killers because they are abused, Not all abused children are abused. I hate the two kids that killed James Bulger and will never forgive them, they have no excuse and I do not thing they ever should have been given new identities. Someone in a town near me hung himself because people were accusing him of being one of them. If they hadn't been given new identities he would still be alive. My sister was so patronising and said that I didn't know anything because I hadn't studied Social Work like her. Can someone else please back me up? Social work has nothing to do with what they did. They were born evil and should not be allowed to carry on as if nothing happened. Please give me your opinions, because right now I'm so annoyed by how my sister has made me feel, especially because my opinion did not seem to matter because I just make crafts, and this does not give me the right to comment on this matter, due to the fact that I've not read the books she read when learning about social work.
