The Mentalist is a similar to Castle but a little better. There is a female cop similar to Kate Beckett. There are two male cops like Ryan and Esposito but in Mentalist, the two male have a better story arc. In certain episodes, the two male cops even have the episode centered around them. The Mentalist has an additional female cop who looks very beautiful. If there is one area where The Mentalist is way better than Castle, it is the lead character. Simon Baker's character of Patrick Jane just oozes charisma. I have seen a lot of TV shows but Patrick Jane is arguably the most charismatic character I have seen. The show is about Patrick Jane helping the police solve murders while trying to catch the serial killer known as Red John who murdered his wife and daughter. Red John is so good that FBI doesn't have a clue about who he is even though he has murdered a dozen people. Even Patrick Jane who is on the same level as Sherlock Holmes struggles to find Red John. I would highly recommend this show. WARNING: DO NOT READ SPOILERS ABOUT WHO RED JOHN IS. THAT IS A MYSTERY THAT WILL BE REVEALED AS YOU WATCH

Obviously I'm looking for cop/crime shows. Doesn't have to be on Netflix, and preferably not very gory. I didn't like Bones, Covert Affairs, or White Collar. Thanks in advance.
