It's more like a Drama set in the future, trying to make it realistic, but also pushing boundaries.
There's a tremendous amount of Trek out there. (The franchise dates to the 1960s, so this shouldn't surprise you.)
I suggest you seek out any of the episodes of "Star Trek: The Next Generation" that feature the character named Q. You may find something familiar about him.
there's no "should" about it. it's a just a teevee show.
if you want to watch it, watch it. if you don't, then don't.

Well I watched and it was okay but it depends if your into scify or not you know like star wars all of that alien monster stuff
You could just carry on saying that it sucks and save yourself the trouble of watching any episodes. It will be a lot quicker.
Just wondering whether it's overrated or not. Everyone always talks about how great it is, but I've never seen it. The way I normally respond to someone who likes it is to tell them it sucks and to **** off because I'm annoyed. I don't plan on becoming one of those Trekkies (I'm already a brony) but just want to know whether I should give it a go. What series should I start with?
