The closest show to Breaking Bad that I can think of is "Weeds". Instead of a teacher who decides to make Meth in order to leave his family financially stable after he dies of cancer, Weeds is about a woman whose husband died suddenly and left her in a terrible financial situation so she decided to sell marijuana. All eight seasons are available on Netflix.

I recommend Weeds, I'm watching that right now. Very similar to breaking Bad.

Banshee. There's only 2 series so far but it's great. It's a crime drama with a twist. It has family drama, drugs, violence, sex, crime lords, teenage issues, identity theft. If you like Breaking Bad and Sons of Anarchy you'll love it.

I know it is not similar but I would recommend mentalist....it is really a good show

Hubby and I are currently trying to find a tv show that we would both like, Shows we have enjoyed up to now are:

We tried watching Boardwalk Empire and Once Upon a Time and we weren't very keen.

Also been told that The Wire is brilliant but hard to follow for someone that doesn't speak English great. That would be my husband.
