Under the hysteria of a breach to national security there will be another SOPA passing attempt in the near future. Small businesses will be damned because Republicans will have no choice but to support only the biggest and most profitable businesses in online representation. Smaller businesses will by no fault of their own be distrusted as threatening to wholesome, honest, and reputable behemoth businesses already firmly in control of their respective industries. Ideally, if it's not a major manufacturer it will be viewed as potentially counterfeit and therefore not worth the risk- it is counterfeit. There's too much money at stake for them to think the internet should be anything other than strictly regulated and essentially identical to North Korea's.

It's only being put on the back burner until after the mid term elections.Repubs.know it's a bad idea and many dems think the same and Obama was going to sign it until Harry Reid told him to delay it.Obama will sign it with executive order the way he was going to do it in the first place.

SOPA has been placed on the shelf due to the fact that the Senate could not agree on the content of this bill. Don't be waiting for this to be passed anytime soon.
