I really love all of those shows, a lot.
For me, South Park is the winner. South Park goes deeper into controversial territory than any other show that I know of. It is crude and provocative, but also layered and completely brilliant.
It strikes a perfect balance between the absurd and the serious. Perfect for my tastes, anyway...
I have a great love for the Simpsons, it is definitely the most historically important of those three shows, the one that brought the art of cartoons into new territory, more adult territory. The writing and the jokes became increasingly fantastic throughout the 90s, and there may not be ANY cartoon character that is funnier than Homer Simpson. Not even Daffy Duck.
I had a housemate in the 90s that was getting new episodes of the Simpsons from America (I live in Australia) a year or so before they would be screened here. We would hold parties centered around watching new Simpsons episodes.
And I really enjoy Family Guy. That show is really a reflection of Seth MacFarlane's own particular sense of humor, which definitely makes me laugh. It's foundations may be similar, even arguably derivative of those of the Simpsons, but the content and the characterisations on Family Guy are quite original. I especially love the episodes with Brian and Stewie that reference the old "Road to..." Bob Hope movies. How awesome is that...
And yay to Seth for producing the Cosmos series. I wholeheartedly approve.
Simpsons is okay, south park isn't really all that so I guess I like family guy the best.
The Simpsons. The Simpsons is easily relatable and funny in it's own way.The plot never ceases to amaze me.
South park has been consistent with new recent, content so SOUTH PARK
Simpson!!! In Every show you cannot predict whats coming can you!! LOL!!
They have something new everytime!!
Family Guy FTW!
I'm a huge fan of all three shows (although even I'll admit that they've all gone downhill in recent years), but what do you prefer?
