I think the surgical mask is a little suspicious. I don't know, some people do wear them these days during flu season. Hopefully that's the reason he was wearing it. Always walk outside (or anywhere) with your head held high, always with confidence, and always be aware of your surroundings. Those who kidnap people, usually stalk them (anonymously) beforehand. They will watch the person first, to see if they look like an easy target. Remember, they prefer easy targets. When predators see someone who looks confident, and notice that they are making themselves aware of their surroundings, they will more than likely go after what they perceive as an easier target. When I walk, I'm always looking both ways. Every once in awhile I'll glance behind me. I always make myself look confident, sure of myself, and comfortable, even if I'm not feeling that way.

I'd say your suspicion is valid. But still just a suspicion. The right thing would be to call the people who live there. (Unless it is a gang that lives there?) You would be justified in talking to the police. It is a reasonable suspicion.

Yes, you should be worried. Call the police and ask whether they have officers in your vicinity who are still inspecting the previous robbery and if they don't, tell them what you saw.

So today, I went to check the mail (the mailboxes are a bit uphill from my house) when there was a creepy guy in a trench coat and a blue surgical mask standing up there. A car tried to get out from the small road behind there and I think they got out but I'm not sure.

My mom (I'm only 14) said that it's probably no big deal. Should I be worried?
