Thoughts on the new progress of the madeleine mccann case?

What new progress, they have spent a week digging some waste ground close to the resort but nothing of significance has been found

Another month and another chapter in the farcical story of the supposed abduction of this child.

I wonder what evidence came to light 7 years later that led to such detailed searches. There must be some as they have received permission to extend their searches even though the locals are up in arms about it as they feel it will out people off going there for a holiday and they rely on the tourist trade.

Hard to say as we don't really know what they are looking for. I wish the media would let the police get on with it without shadowing their every move; it just creates more rumours and speculation.

I hope Madeleine is found alive and returned to her loving family.

I think it's a farce! It's not going anywhere, there is no new evidence. It's a nice holiday for some of our police force though, and that's what we pay our taxes for!

It may be hard to believe, but i honestly think her parents are involved in it. Read the latest about her case. Somebody has spray painted 'english police are stupid, her parents did it.' and it wouldn't surprise me!

This lead was originally supplied to the "parents" via an anonymous tip from the Netherlands, shortly after they had visited friends there, during their European tour in the weeks after the alleged abduction, the family alerted the press before telling the Police and when the Pj arrived the whole area was covered with media teams, camera's and journos, trampling everywhere and they had "hired" all the local dogs in the hope of finding something, the area was unsearchable then, but was covered a week or so later by the Pj who found nothing of interest...

The weather is pleasant though at the moment and they are annoying the locals and holidaymakers while they wander around...

I think that if the parents wanted to go out drinking and leave their daughter in a hotel room, then they should pay for an exhaustive search years after her abduction and not expect taxpayers to foot the bill. They never should have taken her with them but should have left her safe at home with relatives.
