Stefan isn't the only doppelganger of Silas there have been more & we been told that already. Since the last remaining doppelgangers are not vampires they have all eternity to be together. So nature doesn't see the point of making another look a like Stefan.
The point of the doppelgangers was to make sure that all of them fell in love & as Qetsiyah or Tessa tells us she seen the doppelgangers find each other & fall in love for centuries. So nature or the universe doesn't see the point of making mortal copies any longer of beings who will never die. Since their immortal they can spend centuries on end with one another & that was the whole point in the beginning.
There are way more than 3. And yes it's confusing as hell, because there's supposed to be a doppel for each other. But Katherine is much older than Stefan, who's older than Elena. So shouldn't Katherine have her own Stefan, Stefan his own Elena, and Elena her own Stefan?? I think I just died a little typing that. Basically the writers have really screwed the pooch on this one.
I don't know if they have to have the same number of doppelgangers. So far there is only Silas and Stefan whereas there is Amara, Tatia, Katherine and Elena. I hope no more pop up.

Okay is it just me or is vampire diaries getting confusing? If there are 3 doppleganners of ellna then shouldnt there be 3 of stefan?
