Supernatural is absolutely FANTASTIC. It's on it's ninth season and it's still a phenomenal show. Gets better with each season. If you like Sherlock, you'd love Doctor Who. Seasons 5-7 are written by the same guy who created Sherlock. If you're into the whole nerdy scene and you like sci-fi, I'd suggest checking out Joss Whedon's shows. His most popular one is Firefly, which is set about 500 years in the future. His other good ones are Dollhouse and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Dollhouse is sci-fi, Buffy is more fantasy. Roswell is another good sci-fi show, that one's got aliens.
I agree with Demi and Loki but would also recommend Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, Stargate Universe, and Falling Skies for sci-fi and Elementary for "liking Sherlock" -- and I'm not just saying that because it is about [a version of] Sherlock, but because it is very good [I like it better than the BBC's Sherlock, which I do like]. Have you ever tried Prime Suspect?
Supernatural is REALLY good (: I'm absolutely OBSESSED with it.
I'm not actually sure if you'll like it, But a lot of people who like Sherlock seem to like Doctor Who as well as Hannibal. I would check them all out and watch at least 10 minutes of them to see if you like them, Although I can assure you Supernatural gets better in the later seasons...
