You should really watch Soul Eater. It's about people who can turn into weapons(literally. some turn into swords, guns, and smoke bombs!) and people who use them in their weapon form, called meisters. Together, meisters and weapons kill demons. The story follows a meister named Maka and a weapon named Soul.
You should also watch Young Justice. Even though it's not Japanese, there's lots of action and the story plots really well developed. It's about a team of young superheroes, most of them are ex-sidekicks. Some examples are Robin (Dick Grayson), Kid Flash, and Aqualad.

Every one of these animes i have absolutely loved and would watch again there fun energetic exciting, and makes you want to watch and read more. But i cant find anything right now that suits my taste which is as you can see pretty wide variety. Do you guys have any suggestions? I saw the first episode of death note and it really didn't suit my liking so i hope there is some other animes for me out there
