the creek is not a soap opera, it has drug dealers, people beating other people up, getting drunk and falling off a balcony and dying (spoiler alert). it also has boat racing. none of those things can be found in a soap opera

Hi, I'm just looking for some opinions on shows I may enjoy. I'll pick best answer to the one that picks the next show I start watching from the pilot. I usually decide quickly if I like a show though, so slower shows might need a little explanation to get me into it if the pilot isn't great. Dexter was so boring for the first few episodes but then it became one of my favorites. Most I never watch again though if the first few bore me.
Here are some of my favorite shows ever: Breaking Bad, Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Lost, House. My new favorite is Blacklist, and for summer shows I watch Falling Skies.
So, any shows that are similar or on the same level would be great. I also started watching Resurrection and love it as well. Anything with an intriguing plot and great characters/actors usually keeps my attention.
So I'm just looking for your opinions on what shows are good (past or present) so I can check them out and see if I may want to catch up or watch its seasons. Thank you for any help.
