Government?
and culture?
I'm British and I've met many Americans who have visited and they've enjoyed it and all our landmarks and culture - and Royal Family as I know the USA seems to follow our royal events?
I've been to the USA 3 times and loved it, it's different to the UK so I'd recommend visiting us :)
- The negative guy above talks rubbish, don't criticise when no Country is perfect including the USA.
England, as individuals OK as a country you can't like it.
Government - what government? It's a pendulum between two parties voted by people with little interest and who don't do anything to hold the politicians to their word unlike the Europeans.
Culture damaged by the class system but still to dumb to realise it. The rest of Europe would be quite content to leave them living in the memory of their empire - their monarchy and singing Rule Britannia as the ship sinks!
N.Ireland - Scotland have a better future on their own and the English would love to see them go.
Time will tell.
Sorry, just noticed this question was aimed at Americans.
As and American, I like the culture and ceremony of Britain, changing of the guard, opening of parliament, the monarchy, and of course the Grenadier Guards. The U.K is with out a doubt the toughest country in Europe as they aren't afraid to get their hands dirty in world affairs when needed. If I had to criticize Britain for anything it would be that their cities are probably the least attractive looking in all of Europe (outside of the Balkans); they just don't seem to take as good as care of their beautiful historical buildings like France or Austria. However, there are exceptions like York and Chester which are quite nice and still better than anything found in the entire United States.
the people are proper and like-able,the government i know nothing of and the culture is just, perfect.to be honest i would rather be there than the shitty crime ridden country of the United States.
