I really like the show, and the Twelvth Doctor is a very good character. While I like Clara, I do think she's a bit boring.
I'm loving it so far! Peter Capaldi is absolutely fantastic as the Doctor, and most of the episodes this series have been way above average! I really liked Clara initially, but she does seem to be turning in to a very unlikable character (which I believe may be intentional). The finale episode(s) look like a whopper!
So far, the work is excellent. The new Doctor brings a different aspect to the Doctor and constantly keeps you guessing. And Clara is wonderful, and what they are doing for her, filling in a bit of the mystery each episode, will eventually result in one of the most well-rounded characters of the series. I especially liked the months that went by when we were meeting her various incarnations and finding out just who and what she is. And to discover she is responsible for William Hartnell's Doctor and every incarnation that came since brings a wonderful aspect to the show.
My friend's husband is really enjoying it but I stopped watching a while ago. I really didn't like Amy and Rory and it kind of put me off the series. I'm planning to get back into it at some point. I'm guessing Clara is the new companion. Why do you wish they'd get rid of her?
I like the 12th Doctor. I like Clara too, but it seems like it's time for a change. She's been with him long enough.
I like Peter Capaldi in this role a lot. Been a very good season. Even my least favorite episode of the season (the most recent one) wasn't all that bad.
