I highly suggest this TV program, its called CONTINUUM. It is a series found on NETFLIX. Its a great twist on the past with a view in the future. Its excellent.

A forensic scientist (sort of) who's hobby is to track down and brutally murder criminals that in his mind "deserve to die". Awesome show. I own the 8 Season box set!
-SUPERNATURAL
About two brothers that were raised together by their vengeful father to hunt supernatural beings. The acting is outstanding and the scripts are well written. The relationship between the two brothers runs throughout its 9 Seasons and keeps you wanting more!
-GAME OF THRONES
Based on the ongoing book series "A Song Of Ice And Fire". Set in a made up continent called Westeros in what looks like our 14th Century but with magic and monsters. A huge civil war and impending doom etc.
-ARROW
Based on DC comic book hero The Green Arrow. Billionaire's son found on an island after a boat crash 5 years back, i returned home and becomes a vigilante to fix his home city by going after criminals and corrupt fat cats. Awesome 2 Seasons.

could try The Leftovers, its like a physcological drama about the rapture, kinda messes with you head. Hell on Wheels if you like rugged period pieces, also the characters are spot on. Falling Skies, bout a apocalypse drama anout aliens, ever blue moon the episodes are slow but they always build up to an epic battle or reveal. Being Human american version, about vampires and ghosts and werewolfs, one of the best syfy dramas around. Skins UK version way more appealing that pre teen Degrassi, edgier and alot more mature
How about The Strain and Teen Wolf.
Hannibal is a fantastic show. It has A-grade actors, intense drama and beautiful cinematography. But it is very gory and scary.
