Most people think its a scam so they disregarded it.
It also didnt help that the spoke person for the organization was flapping his dong in public.
Well the Invisible Children charity pretty much lost a lot of respect after the founder was arrested for masterbating in public and also people figured out that they were stretching the truth about the situation in Uganda considering that KONY hasn't even been inside the country since 2003. Also Kony is nearly dying from being sick and the LRA is not a very big menace anymore. As fas as updates there really havent been any :/
Actually, incredible progress has been made towards bringing peace to the LRA affected ares since Kony 2012 premiered online in early March. Here are just a few of the major achievements:
In late April, President Obama announced that he is extending the time that the US advisers are to remain in Central Africa to continue their efforts to bring an end to LRA violence.

Finally, at the end of May, the US Senate Armed Services Committee authorized 50 million dollars to be allocated to the US effort to bring Joseph Kony to justice.
Huge progress is being made through Kony 2012. Good work world. Let's keep moving to bring an end to LRA violence this year.
Kony wasn't really a dangerous person today. He was horrible in the past but his movement has burned itself out and he is with a ragtag group who barely survive in the jungle. The movement was a fad gone viral through the Internet, but like a cat playing piano, it's gone now.
